Beloved family,

We are already six days into the month of May, and as we continue this journey together, the Lord has continually impressed one word strongly upon our hearts:

GRACE and PEACE.

These are not ordinary words. They are covenant words. Kingdom words. Spiritual realities that carry power for everyday living.

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 1:7

This greeting appears again and again throughout the New Testament because heaven understands something many people miss:

Grace is the foundation. Peace is the result.

Where grace is active, peace follows.

WHAT IS GRACE?

The Hebrew word for grace is Chen, meaning favor, kindness, acceptance, and divine goodwill.

“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6:8

Noah lived in a corrupt generation, yet grace distinguished him. Grace is what makes God step into a person’s life and do what human strength cannot accomplish.

In the New Testament, the Greek word is Charis, meaning unearned favor, divine enablement, and supernatural empowerment.

Grace is not merely God forgiving you. Grace is God helping you.

  • Grace is strength when you feel weak.
  • Grace is wisdom when you are confused.
  • Grace is endurance when life becomes heavy.
  • Grace is divine assistance beyond natural ability.

Paul understood this deeply when he prayed for God to remove his affliction, but the Lord responded:

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

Notice: God did not first promise escape. He promised sustaining grace.

Some of you entered this month tired, emotionally drained, mentally exhausted, and spiritually pressured. But hear this carefully: the grace of God will sustain you.

You will not collapse under pressure. You will not fail under responsibility. You will not break under the weight of expectation.

Why?

Because grace supplies what human effort lacks.

WHAT IS PEACE?

The Hebrew word for peace is Shalom.

Shalom means wholeness, completeness, rest, harmony, safety, wellbeing, nothing missing and nothing broken.

Biblical peace is not merely the absence of trouble. It is stability in the middle of trouble.

Jesus demonstrated this when the disciples were terrified by the storm. The winds were violent. The waves were crashing. Fear filled the boat.

Yet Jesus stood and declared:

“Peace, be still.” Mark 4:39

Immediately, the storm obeyed Him.

What the disciples could not control by experience, Jesus controlled by authority.

Many people today are facing storms: financial storms, emotional storms, family storms, spiritual battles, and uncertainty about the future.

But this month, the Lord is saying: “Peace, be still.”

Not every storm will disappear immediately, but God will give you peace in the process.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth…” John 14:27

The world gives temporary comfort. Christ gives inward stability.

The world says, “Have peace when everything is working.”

Jesus says, “Have peace because I am with you.”

GRACE PRODUCES PEACE

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1
“For by grace are ye saved through faith…” Ephesians 2:8

Notice the divine order: Grace reconciles us to God. Peace becomes the result of reconciliation.

Many people seek peace without first receiving grace. But true peace begins when a person trusts God completely.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3

The phrase “perfect peace” in Hebrew is actually Shalom Shalom: complete peace, steady peace, established peace.

This means when your mind stays fixed on God, your heart becomes stable even when circumstances are unstable.

THIS MONTH, WE MUST WALK DIFFERENTLY

1. Depend on Grace, Not Mere Strength

Some battles cannot be won by human effort alone.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord.” Zechariah 4:6

Stop carrying everything alone. Pray. Depend on God. Invite His help into your daily life. Grace works best where surrender exists.

2. Guard Your Mind

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

Prayer exchanges anxiety for peace. Some of us have fed fear more than faith.

  • Feed your spirit with Scripture.
  • Speak life.
  • Reject hopelessness.
  • Refuse constant negativity.

Your mind is a spiritual battlefield. Protect it carefully.

3. Extend Grace to Others

“God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6

People who understand grace become gracious people. Forgive quickly. Show patience. Release bitterness. Choose mercy.

You cannot consistently receive grace while refusing to give grace.

4. Walk in Peace, Not Panic

“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts.” Colossians 3:15

The word “rule” means to govern like an umpire. Before making decisions this month, ask:

  • Does this bring confusion or peace?
  • Does this align with God’s direction?
  • Is fear driving me, or faith?

Never allow panic to make decisions that peace has not approved.

A MOMENT OF SELAH AND SABBATICAL

As many of you may have noticed, we are also entering a season of selective disengagement and sabbatical.

This is not withdrawal from purpose. It is alignment for purpose.

Even Jesus often withdrew to pray, to rest, and to commune deeply with the Father before major assignments and after significant seasons of ministry.

There are seasons where God calls His people to slow down, listen again, recover strength, regain clarity, deepen intimacy, and be refreshed in His presence.

“Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while.” Mark 6:31

In this season, we are trusting completely that the same grace and peace of God that sustains us will also sustain you.

We may be selectively quiet in some moments, but heaven is not silent over you.

We may step back strategically for renewal, but our prayers and love for this family remain constant.

And we encourage every one of you: do not be afraid of seasons of stillness. Sometimes God does His deepest work in quiet places.

The grace of God will keep you. The peace of God will preserve you.

DECLARATIONS FOR THIS MONTH

  • The grace of God is working in my life.
  • I receive supernatural strength.
  • I walk in divine favor.
  • The peace of God guards my heart and mind.
  • Fear will not dominate me.
  • Anxiety will not control me.
  • I am preserved by God.
  • I will not fail in my assignment.
  • God’s hand rests upon my life.
  • This month, I will walk in grace and peace.

Beloved, the remaining days of this month are not days of defeat.

They are days to experience divine help, inner stability, supernatural strength, spiritual confidence, and renewed hope.

No matter what comes around you, remember this:

Grace will carry you. Peace will steady you.

And the God of all grace and the Lord of peace will sustain you through it all.

“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18

May the remaining days of May overflow with grace and peace for you and your household.

Signed, Ambassador Monday Oreojo Ogwuojo
