The Message
A Fight to the Finish
10-12 And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no weekend war that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.
13-18 Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

Try me, and know my anxieties;

6am Lord, search me, try me, and expose anything within me that grants the enemy legal foothold.
9am I put on the whole armor of God and reject every compromise that weakens spiritual authority.
12pm Every internal alliance with fear, pride, lust, bitterness, and unbelief, be broken now.
3pm Let hidden motives, polluted appetites, and unhealed wounds be brought under the rule of Christ.
6pm Father, purify my speech, discipline my thoughts, and order my desires for war and for worship.
9pm I decree that I shall not lose battles in private and attempt to win them in public.
12am Let my life become a closed gate to darkness and an open gate to the Holy Spirit.
3am O God, sanctify me wholly and make me a clean vessel for strategic intercession.

You can combine all of these prayers at once—for example at 12 midnight, morning prayers, 12 noon, and 6 pm prayers. You are not restricted to these time frames.
We encourage breaking of fast with communion, but it is not mandatory.
