For twenty years, a sacred prayer assignment has been carried before the Lord—an annual 40-day watch of prayer and fasting for the Church and for the leaders of the nations.
From March 17 to April 25, believers across nations will again gather in unity to seek the Lord for:

- the transformation of cultures
- the advancement of God’s Kingdom in the earth.

For more than twenty years, a prophetic call to intercession has shaped a unique prayer assignment for the Church.
In 2006, during a deeply personal season of crisis while his wife underwent a life-threatening medical emergency in London, Ambassador Monday O. Ogbe experienced a profound encounter with the Lord. In that moment of uncertainty and surrender, the Lord placed a clear mandate upon his heart:
“Pray for My Church and pray for the leaders of the nations wherever they are positioned in the mountains of influence.”
From that encounter emerged a lifelong assignment of intercession for the Church and for the nations—specifically for those who serve within the Seven Mountains of Influence:
- Religion
• Family
• Education
• Government
• Media and Communication
• Arts and Culture
• Business and Economics
These spheres shape the values, direction, and decisions of societies and nations. When believers pray strategically for these areas, they participate in God’s work of transformation within the earth.
Beginning in 2006, this sacred season of prayer and fasting has been observed faithfully each year from March 17 to April 25. What started as a personal act of obedience gradually became an ongoing watch of intercession carried by believers who share the burden to pray for the Church and for the nations.
Now, twenty years later, this booklet has been prepared to help others participate in that same assignment. It is also being translated into more than 50 languages, with the vision of mobilizing a worldwide movement of 10 million intercessors.

1 Timothy 6:11-14 “ But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing.”
If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” John 8:31.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21.
Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. Romans 6:11-12.

PART 1 — Establishing Spiritual Authority
Father, in the name of Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith, I arise to establish my legal right and dominion over this region and over every territory over which You have given me jurisdictional authority.
According to Daniel 9:4, You are the only great and dreadful God, keeping covenant and mercy with those who love You and with those who keep Your commandments.
I appeal to the God who said in 2 Chronicles 7:13–16:
“If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people; if My people who are called by My name shall humble themselves and pray, seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land.”
Now Your eyes shall be open and Your ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.
For now You have chosen and sanctified this house, that Your name may be there forever; and Your eyes and Your heart shall be there perpetually.
I declare that this place is sanctified.
I present my body as a living sacrifice by the shed blood of Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer. Make these prayers holy and acceptable unto You.
I confess my sins and the sins of our fathers. Let grace and mercy prevail over us.
I declare that I have free passage for my prayers to ascend into the realm of the supernatural and not be earthbound.
I come into agreement with the Supreme Court of Heaven.
I am seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus; therefore, I war from this plane and realm.
I declare that the anointing of God breaks every yoke, opens every portal, and assigns angels to reinforce me as I advance into new levels, new dimensions, new realms, and new territories.
Let there be a breakthrough in the heavens.
I tap into apostolic and prophetic veins.
I shatter glass ceilings.
I smash spiritual bars and iron membranes.
I declare that a breakthrough atmosphere is established.
I recalibrate the spiritual climate and decree that every bit of lukewarmness must be replaced with the fire and zeal of God.
Baptize me with the Holy Ghost and with fire.
Let there be fire in my mouth as I advance in this prayer.
I take authority over demonic and satanic atmospheres and climates created by cultic activity, destiny-altering images, incantations, ill-spoken words, witchcraft, hostile environments, fear, terrorism, ritual, hatred, ethnic hatred, and violence, in the name of Jesus.
I command the spiritual climate to shift.
Economic climate shift.
Social climate shift.
Cultural climate shift.
Educational climate shift.
Political climate shift.
Ecclesiastical climate shift.
I command that the atmosphere be filled with the glory of God.
Father, fill the atmosphere.
Fill the environment with Your glory.
I alter this environment and declare that it is now suitable for:
My ministry to thrive.
My relationships to thrive.
My children to thrive.
My loved ones to thrive.
My business to thrive.
My ideas to thrive.
My nation to thrive.
My government to thrive.
My economy to thrive.
I establish a supernatural environment for miracles to occur.
I war in the name of Jesus and by His shed blood — the blood of the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world.
By Him, evil must be destroyed.
For this reason the Son of God was made manifest, that He might destroy the works of darkness.
I decree and declare that the works of darkness are destroyed.
I decree that every curse over my life is reversed.
I break through the prevailing and sustaining powers of darkness over this region in the name of Jesus.
I arrest every demonic spirit through Your Word.
Empower the angelic hosts to war on my behalf.
I resist territorial strongholds.
I sever ego-entanglements.
Open the gates of psychological prisons and deliver us from the spirits of shame, embarrassment, harassment, and iniquity.
Deliver us from the spirit of strongholds and pride.
Deliver me from stigmatization, emotional blackmail, social impediments, seductions, satanic limitations, satanic illusions, addictions, demonic restrictions, cultural entrenchments, cultic strongholds, bewitchments, traditions, and anti-Christ cultural environments.
Free me from limitations, handicaps, and impediments.
I refuse to be marginalized, stigmatized, immobilized, terrorized, characterized, criticized, tolerated, censored, misjudged, mishandled, or mismanaged.
I wear a cloak of favor.
I disengage demonic triggers and psychological buttons.
I short-circuit them.
PART 2 — Territorial Breakthrough
I am non-responsive to demonic oppression. I establish my superior authority over this region by the blood, the Word, and by the Spirit of God.
For this reason I remind you that the Son of God was made manifest that He might destroy the works of the devil. I decree that the works of the devil are destroyed. They are destroyed over this region, over my neighborhood, over my body, over my family, over my children, over my loved ones, over my ministry, over my pastor, over my doctor and lawyer, and over my government.
The evil works of the devil are destroyed.
I declare and decree that the plans and purposes of God shall prevail. The Word of God prevails. His will prevails. My prophetic purpose and destiny prevail. My vision prevails. My business prevails. My ideas prevail.
I prophesy to the four winds that things that have died prematurely and dried up because of satanic activities are quickened and come to life.
I declare that the pieces of my destiny — financial, ministerial, and relational — come together.
My life comes together.
My money comes together.
My business comes together.
My relationships come together.
My family comes together.
The body of Christ comes together.
My ministry comes together.
My marriage comes together.
My family comes together.
My budget comes together.
Our governments come together.
Our leadership comes together.
Everything works together according to Your will.
Father, I thank You. With You nothing is impossible.
Therefore, Father, I decree and declare that the floodgates of heaven are opened.
Let it rain.
Spirit of God, usher us into times of refreshing that You promised will come from the presence of the Lord.
I decree and declare that there shall be no more demonic droughts, no more demonic dryness, no more distress, no more disease, no more depression, and no more demonic drama.
We come in the volume of the Book, as it is written of us.
We come in the power of God — the God of Joshua — and we decree and declare that every impenetrable wall must come down in the name of Jesus and in the power of the Most High God.
I shatter barriers, blockages, barricades, and boulders.
I declare that I am advancing into the calling, the purposes, and the plans of God.
The cause of Christ is advancing in this region and in every region.
I proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord and King of Kings. The Kingdom of God has come. He is King over every region and His Kingdom is at hand.
We take authority over every demonic stronghold and break the cords and bands of wickedness.
We shake evil out of its illegal place and take our rightful seat of authority.
We take authority over satanic altars in the mountains.
We stand in the spirit of Elijah and decree and declare that the God who answers by fire — He is God.
We decree that the fire of God destroys every altar.
We command that the powers of the enemy be broken off our lives, broken off our ministry, broken off our home, broken off our mind, broken off our relationships.
They are broken off our body, off our life, off our children, off our marriage, off our spouse, off our business, and off our practices.
We decree and declare that evil has no control over our lives anymore.
We break free from the evil control of the enemy.
We break free from evil patterns.
We break free from fetishes, charms, amulets, voodoo pieces, talismans, chains, bondage, incantations, addictions, generational curses, spirits of inheritance, death, poverty, apathy, hopelessness, abuse, helplessness, and prayerlessness.
We decree and declare that they are destroyed.
Wherever and whatever witches, warlocks, sorcerers, sages, and religious manipulators are using as points of contact to release curses — through pictures, clothing, strands of hair, personal items, garments, bowls, dust, blood, voodoo dolls, altars, amulets, water, brooms, mixtures, or anything else — I command them to be disintegrated in the name of Jesus.
We interrupt lines of communication between familiar spirits and sever illegal activities designed to frustrate the plans and purposes of God in our lives.
We command every evil attachment to be broken.
We command cords to be broken.
We command every stronghold to be broken.
We take authority over the spirits of doubt, enmeshment, entanglement, fear, terror, confusion, unbelief, intimidation, sin, and iniquity.
We release ourselves from the strongholds of the enemy and from dark spiritual forces that bombard our minds.
Father, in the name of Jesus, as we stand to pray, we break through the strongholds of the enemy by:
The hand of God.
The finger of God.
The Word of God.
The blood of Jesus Christ.
The power of the Holy Spirit.
The anointing of God.
Apostolic intervention.
Angelic assistance.
Father, we arise in the spirit of Zerubbabel and Elijah and speak grace, grace to the mountains and their diabolical altars.
Father, cause them to be destroyed by Your fire.
PART 3 — Dominion Over Strongholds
We establish the lordship of Christ over this region.
I declare that their powers are impotent over this region.
I declare according to Isaiah 9:6–7:

We decree and declare that our feet have been loosed from the snare of the enemy that causes bondage, immobility, and paralysis.

Our territories are enlarged.

Deliver our souls from the mouth of the lion and from the venom of the serpent.
Destroy the serpentine spirit with Your fire, even as You led the children of Israel through that great and terrible wilderness where fiery serpents and scorpions lived and where there was drought and no water.
According to Luke 10:19, I take my place of authority over serpents and scorpions and decree that we shall not suffer any harm.

Father, by Your fire draw out the serpentine spirit from its hidden rocks.

We declare and decree that just and moral government replaces tyrannical governance.
We declare that those in high places and positions of authority who mean us no good are replaced by those who mean us good.
Bring alignment to our governments and worldly leaders.
We know that the hearts of kings, queens, presidents, vice-presidents, and prime ministers are in the hands of the Lord.
Save our world leaders and protect their minds and hearts from satanic oppression and seduction.
Give them wisdom to lead with truth and compassion as their companions.
Give them moral and ethical guidance.

Peace shall be your governor and righteousness your ruler.

As a nation you shall not collapse, nor shall destruction remain within your borders.
Wickedness and darkness shall be eradicated, for God will be your everlasting light and your glory.
Your days of sorrow, struggle, and hardship are coming to an end.
The hearts of the people shall rejoice again as they place their hope in God.
Your sadness and depression shall be replaced with the joy of the Lord.

I sever the head of the boa-constrictor-like forces that attempt to strangle, suffocate, stagnate, stifle, and crush.
Let the sword of the Spirit cut off the head of the cobra-like spirit which strikes with its tongue and is responsible for mesmerization, seduction, terror, ego entanglement, manipulation, mind control, destiny-altering activities, black magic, white magic, divination, demonology, the New Age movement, Santería, hexes, sorcery, enchantments, dream penetration, deception, and broken focus.
Let the all-consuming fire of God destroy the python-like spirit that overwhelms, creates false burdens, exasperates, and swallows up blessings.
Everything that the enemy has swallowed, overwhelmed, or exasperated, I command it to be spit out, coughed up, and released.

This spirit causes toxic and noxious relationships.
It causes pain and discomfort.

It causes hemorrhaging of joy, peace, finances, and natural and spiritual resources.
Father, I decree and declare that there will be no more hemorrhaging.
Our joy will not leak out.

Bind up the wound.
Father, we decree and declare that deterioration, disorientation, disillusionment, and devastation are destroyed.

Make bright Your arrows and stop them in their paths.
Make their poisonous, fang-like weapons ineffective.
Break their fangs.
Grant us immunity by the antiviral power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
Destroy the serpent’s eggs—the nesting, gestating, and incubating works of darkness—before they hatch.
Destroy the viper-like spirit in the name of Jesus.
We decree and declare that even while these spirits attempt to nest and incubate their plans, we shall not be harmed by the spirits of Judas, Jezebel, Ahithophel, Absalom, Haman, Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite, Pharaoh, and Cain.
Let the sword of our enemies pierce their own hearts when they bend their bows.
Let their weapons be irreparably broken.
Let their arrows disintegrate.
Extinguish the fire of the fiery flying serpent and cause it to fall to its own death and destruction.
Let the enemy be turned back and brought to confusion who devise our hurt.

Throughout Scripture, prayer and spiritual vigilance are often connected to specific times of watchfulness.
Watchmen were positioned to guard cities, warn of danger, and remain alert during different periods of the day and night.
In a similar way, believers are called to remain spiritually watchful.
Jesus instructed His disciples:
“Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation.”
(Matthew 26:41)
This prayer guide follows a rhythm of eight watches of prayer, representing intentional moments throughout the day to turn our attention toward God in intercession.
These watches do not require long periods of prayer. Even a few focused minutes during each watch can become powerful when offered consistently.
First Watch — 6:00 AM
The beginning of the day.
This watch is a time to dedicate the day to the Lord, align our hearts with His purposes, and invite His guidance.
Second Watch — 9:00 AM
A time to pray for wisdom, direction, and strength for the responsibilities of the day.
Many believers use this watch to pray for leaders in the Church and across the mountains of influence.
Third Watch — 12:00 PM
Midday intercession.
This watch often becomes a moment to pause and refocus spiritually, lifting up families, communities, and nations before the Lord.
Fourth Watch — 3:00 PM
The hour traditionally associated with prayer in the early Church (Acts 3:1).
This watch is a powerful time to pray for divine intervention and breakthrough.
Fifth Watch — 6:00 PM
Evening dedication.
As the day transitions, this watch invites believers to pray for protection, restoration, and peace.
Sixth Watch — 9:00 PM
A time for reflection and thanksgiving for what God has done during the day.
It is also a time to pray for the Church and the nations before entering the night watches.
Seventh Watch — 12:00 AM
Midnight prayer.
Throughout Scripture, midnight has often been a time of spiritual breakthrough (Acts 16:25–26).
This watch represents deeper spiritual warfare and intercession.
Eighth Watch — 3:00 AM
A watch of perseverance and prophetic prayer.
Many intercessors have historically found this hour to be a powerful time for spiritual sensitivity and deep intercession.
A Continuous Watch
When individuals, groups, and churches pray across these watches, the result becomes a continuous chain of prayer.
This pattern reflects the call of Ezekiel 22:30:
“I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land.”
As believers participate in these watches, they become part of a larger movement of intercession for the Church and the nations.
INTRODUCTION
A Call to Stand in the Gap
Throughout Scripture, whenever God desired to intervene in the affairs of nations, He looked for men and women who would stand in the gap through prayer.
The prophet Ezekiel recorded the heart of God when He said:
“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”
— Ezekiel 22:30
This statement reveals an eternal spiritual principle:
God works through intercessors.
Nations rise and fall. Cultures shift. Systems of power influence the direction of societies. Yet behind these visible realities are spiritual forces shaping events in the earth.
For this reason, prayer is not merely a devotional activity.
Prayer is governmental participation with God in the affairs of the earth.
Intercession invites heaven to intervene in earthly systems.
The Seven Mountains of Influence
Every society is shaped by key spheres of influence that determine values, culture, and direction. These are often described as the Seven Mountains of Influence:
- Religion
• Family
• Education
• Government
• Media and Communication
• Arts and Culture
• Business and Economics
These mountains influence how people think, what societies celebrate, and how nations are governed.
When these spheres are shaped by righteousness, societies flourish. When they are dominated by corruption or spiritual darkness, entire generations suffer the consequences.
For this reason, believers are called not only to preach the gospel but also to pray strategically for these spheres of influence, asking God to raise leaders of integrity and wisdom who will align systems with His purposes.
The Ministry of Intercession
The Bible is filled with examples of individuals who stood before God on behalf of others.
Abraham interceded for Sodom.
Moses interceded for Israel.
Daniel interceded for the restoration of Jerusalem.
Esther risked her life for the preservation of her people.
Above all, Jesus Christ Himself continues the ministry of intercession today:
“He ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
— Hebrews 7:25
Through Christ, believers are invited to participate in this ongoing work of intercession.
The apostle Paul reminds us that the Holy Spirit also assists us in this calling:
“The Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

The Intercessor’s Mandate
Abraham, Moses, Daniel, Jesus and the Holy Spirit: Standing in the Gap
Throughout Scripture, God reveals a consistent pattern: when nations drift toward destruction, the Lord searches for people who will stand before Him in prayer.
The prophet Ezekiel captured this reality with a powerful statement from the Lord:
“I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it.”
(Ezekiel 22:30)
Intercession is the act of standing between heaven and earth—appealing to the mercy, justice, and purposes of God on behalf of others.
The Bible presents several powerful examples of those who fulfilled this role.
Abraham: Interceding for a Wicked City
Abraham, the father of faith, was among the earliest intercessors recorded in Scripture.
In Genesis 18, the Lord revealed to Abraham that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah had become deeply corrupt and that judgment was imminent.
Yet before judgment fell, God allowed Abraham to know what He was about to do.
“Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?”
(Genesis 18:17)
Rather than remaining silent, Abraham stepped forward in humility and boldness to plead for mercy.
Genesis 18:22 records a remarkable moment:
“But Abraham still stood before the Lord.”
Standing before the Lord is the posture of an intercessor.
Abraham appealed to the justice and mercy of God, asking whether the city might be spared if righteous people could be found within it.
Beginning with fifty and gradually reducing the number to ten, Abraham continued to plead for mercy.
Each request was offered with humility:
“Behold now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord.”
(Genesis 18:27)
Abraham’s intercession shows that God invites those who walk closely with Him to participate in His dealings with the world through prayer.
Moses: Interceding for a Rebellious Nation
Another powerful example of intercession appears in the life of Moses.
In Exodus 32, the people of Israel fell into idolatry by worshipping the golden calf. Their rebellion provoked the anger of the Lord, and judgment seemed certain.
Yet Moses stepped forward to intercede.
Rather than distancing himself from the people, Moses identified with them and appealed to God’s covenant promises.
He prayed:
“Lord, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people, whom You have brought out of Egypt with great power?”
(Exodus 32:11)
Moses reminded the Lord of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. He appealed to God’s reputation among the nations and pleaded for mercy.
Through his intercession, judgment was restrained and the people were preserved.
This moment reveals several truths about intercession:
- Intercessors identify with the people they pray for.
• Intercessors appeal to the promises and character of God.
• Intercession seeks restoration rather than destruction.
Daniel: Interceding for a Captive Nation
Centuries later, another intercessor emerged during a time of national crisis.
Daniel lived during the Babylonian captivity of Israel. When he read the prophecies of Jeremiah and understood that the period of captivity was nearing completion, he responded with prayer and repentance.
Daniel 9:3 describes his posture:
“Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.”
Daniel’s prayer was remarkable because he did not distance himself from the sins of the nation.
Instead, he identified with the people and confessed their failures before God:
“We have sinned and committed iniquity.”
(Daniel 9:5)
Daniel’s intercession appealed to God’s mercy and covenant faithfulness.
Through his prayer, heaven responded. God sent the angel Gabriel with revelation concerning the future of Israel and the coming of the Messiah.
Daniel’s example shows that intercession can influence not only present circumstances but also future generations.
Jesus: The Ultimate Intercessor
While Abraham, Moses, and Daniel demonstrate the power of intercession, the greatest intercessor in history is Jesus Christ.
Jesus not only prayed for humanity during His earthly ministry—He continues to intercede today.
Scripture declares:
“He always lives to make intercession for them.”
(Hebrews 7:25)
Through His sacrifice on the cross, Jesus reconciled humanity to God. Through His ongoing intercession, He continually represents believers before the Father.
Every prayer offered during this forty-day watch ultimately flows through the ministry of Christ.
Our confidence in prayer rests not on our own righteousness but on the finished work of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit: Interceding Within the Believer
While Jesus intercedes for us in heaven, the Holy Spirit works within believers to strengthen and guide our prayers.
Scripture teaches that believers are not left to pray in their own strength. The Spirit of God assists us in prayer, especially in moments when words are insufficient.
The apostle Paul wrote:
“Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
(Romans 8:26)
This means that intercession is not merely a human effort. It is a partnership between the believer and the Spirit of God.

The Believer as the Temple of God

Paul wrote:

The Spirit prompts prayers for families, for churches, for leaders, and for nations.
What begins as a small prompting within the heart often becomes a powerful act of intercession before the throne of God.
Partnership in Intercession
The ministry of intercession therefore involves a beautiful partnership:
- Jesus intercedes for us before the Father.
• The Holy Spirit intercedes within us.
• Believers respond in obedience through prayer.
Through this partnership, the purposes of God are advanced in the earth.
As believers enter this forty-day watch of prayer, they do not pray alone.
The Spirit of God works within them, helping them to carry the burden of intercession.
And Christ Himself stands before the Father as the eternal High Priest, presenting the prayers of the saints.
The Call to Become a House of Prayer

It is part of who you are as a temple of the living God.
The Holy Spirit within you is ready to guide your prayers, strengthen your faith, and align your heart with the will of God.

These spheres influence values, culture, laws, education, economics, and spiritual direction. When these areas are aligned with righteousness, nations flourish. When they are dominated by corruption, deception, and injustice, societies experience confusion and decline.
Many Christian leaders have described these areas as the Seven Mountains of Influence because of the level of authority and impact they carry in shaping civilization.
The call of intercessors is not only to pray for individuals, but to pray for the transformation of these influential structures so that God’s purposes can be reflected in the life of nations.
When believers pray strategically for these mountains, they are asking God to bring His wisdom, righteousness, justice, and truth into the places that shape society. The seven mountains include:
- Religion (The Church)
- Family
- Education
- Government
- Media
- Arts and Culture
- Business and Economy
Each mountain carries tremendous influence over how societies function.
- The Religion Mountain (The Church)
The Church is called to be the spiritual conscience of society.
When the Church is strong, prayerful, and grounded in truth, it becomes a source of moral clarity, spiritual guidance, and hope for the world.
However, when the Church becomes weak, divided, or distracted, society often loses its spiritual compass.
Jesus declared in Matthew 21:13:
“My house shall be called a house of prayer.”
Intercessors pray for the Church so that it may remain pure, unified, courageous, and faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- The Family Mountain
The family is the foundation of every society.
It is within families that values, identity, character, and faith are first formed. Healthy families produce stable communities and strong nations.
When families are broken, generations often struggle with instability, confusion, and loss of direction.
Scripture teaches that God desires restoration within families:
“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.”
(Malachi 4:6)
Intercessors pray for families because the health of future generations depends upon them.

Schools, universities, and institutions of learning influence the worldview of entire generations. Ideas that are taught in classrooms often become the policies, technologies, and systems that shape the future.

Daniel and his companions demonstrated how godly wisdom can influence learning environments:
“God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom.”

Government carries the responsibility of establishing laws, protecting justice, and maintaining order within society.

Throughout the history of God’s people, the Lord has raised men and women who stood before Him on behalf of others. These individuals were not always kings, prophets, or public leaders. Many were ordinary believers who carried an extraordinary burden to pray.
They became watchmen.
A watchman stands alert while others sleep. A watchman sees danger before it arrives. A watchman cries out to God for mercy, protection, and divine intervention.
The Lord spoke through the prophet Ezekiel:
“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land.”

God still searches for such people today.
He looks for those who will pray not only for their own needs but also for the destiny of the Church, the future of nations, and the spiritual condition of societies.

Entering the Forty-Day Watch
Preparing the Heart for Intercession
The forty-day watch of prayer is more than a spiritual exercise. It is an invitation to draw near to God and participate in His purposes for the Church and the nations.
Throughout Scripture, seasons of fasting and prayer often preceded moments of spiritual breakthrough, restoration, and divine direction. These seasons were times when God’s people humbled themselves, sought His face, and aligned their hearts with His will.
As you prepare to enter this forty-day watch, it is important to approach this time with the right posture of heart.
A Time of Humility
True intercession begins with humility.
Before praying for nations, leaders, and communities, believers must first position themselves before God with sincerity and openness.
The Lord declared:
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
(2 Chronicles 7:14)
Humility allows the Holy Spirit to examine our hearts and remove anything that may hinder our fellowship with God.
During this season, ask the Lord to cleanse your heart and renew your devotion to Him.
A Time of Repentance
Intercession often begins with repentance.
Daniel demonstrated this when he prayed for the restoration of Israel. Rather than distancing himself from the failures of his nation, he confessed their sins before the Lord.
“We have sinned and committed iniquity.”

Repentance prepares the heart to approach God with sincerity and reverence.

6am Holy Spirit, help my infirmities and teach me to pray beyond human limitation, emotional fatigue, and mental weakness.

Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

In Jerusalem at the time there was a man, Simeon by name. He was a good man, a man of prayer, waiting for help for Israel. The Holy Spirit was on him.
The Holy Spirit had shown him that he would see the Messiah of God before he died. Led by the Spirit, he entered the Temple.
As the parents of the child Jesus brought him in to carry out the rituals of the Law, Simeon took him into his arms and blessed God:
“God, you can now release your servant;
release me in peace as you promised.
With my own eyes I’ve seen your salvation:
it’s now out in the open for everyone to see—
a God-revealing light to the non-Jewish nations,
and of glory for your people Israel.”
Jesus’ father and mother were speechless with surprise at these words.
Simeon went on to bless them, and said to Mary his mother:
“This child marks both the failure and the recovery of many in Israel,
a figure misunderstood and contradicted—the pain of a sword-thrust through you—but the rejection will force honesty, as God reveals who they really are.”
Anna the prophetess was also there, a daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher. She was now a very old woman. She had been married seven years and then widowed for eighty-four years.
She never left the Temple area, worshiping night and day with her fastings and prayers.
At the very time Simeon was praying, she showed up, broke into an anthem of praise to God, and talked about the child to all who were waiting expectantly for the freeing of Jerusalem.

A Fight to the Finish
10-12 And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.
13-18 Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

14-16 The steward agreed to do it and fed them vegetables and water for ten days. At the end of the ten days they looked better and more robust than all the others who had been eating from the royal menu. So the steward continued to exempt them from the royal menu of food and drink and served them only vegetables.
17-19 God gave these four young men knowledge and skill in both books and life. In addition, Daniel was gifted in understanding all sorts of visions and dreams. At the end of the time set by the king for their training, the head of the royal staff brought them in to Nebuchadnezzar. When the king interviewed them, he found them far superior to all the other young men. None were a match for Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
19-20 And so they took their place in the king’s service. Whenever the king consulted them on anything, on books or on life, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his kingdom put together.
21 Daniel continued in the king’s service until the first year in the reign of King Cyrus.

5-8 If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.

21-27 The main street of the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. But there was no sign of a Temple, for the Lord God—the Sovereign-Strong—and the Lamb are the Temple. The City doesn’t need sun or moon for light. God’s Glory is its light, the Lamb its lamp! The nations will walk in its light and earth’s kings bring in their splendor. Its gates will never be shut by day, and there won’t be any night. They’ll bring the glory and honor of the nations into the City. Nothing dirty or defiled will get into the City, and no one who defiles or deceives. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will get in.

26 God said, “If I find fifty decent people in the city of Sodom, I’ll spare the place just for them.”
27-28 Abraham came back, “Do I, a mere mortal made from a handful of dirt, dare open my mouth again to my Master? What if the fifty fall short by five—would you destroy the city because of those missing five?”
He said, “I won’t destroy it if there are forty-five.”
29 Abraham spoke up again, “What if you only find forty?”
“Neither will I destroy it if for forty.”
30 He said, “Master, don’t be irritated with me, but what if only thirty are found?”
“No, I won’t do it if I find thirty.”
31 He pushed on, “I know I’m trying your patience, Master, but how about for twenty?”
“I won’t destroy it for twenty.”
32 He wouldn’t quit, “Don’t get angry, Master—this is the last time. What if you only come up with ten?”
“For the sake of only ten, I won’t destroy the city.”

Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

Place Your Life Before God
12 1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

9am I take captive every rebellious idea, cultural argument, and mental bondage resisting obedience to Christ.

Day 30 – Media Mountain: Exposure of Hidden Works

What a Blessing When God Corrects You!

The Message
God’s Covenant Commitment
9 1-4 “Darius, son of Ahasuerus, born a Mede, became king over the land of Babylon. In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, was meditating on the Scriptures that gave, according to the Word of God to the prophet Jeremiah, the number of years that Jerusalem had to lie in ruins, namely, seventy. I turned to the Master God, asking for an answer—praying earnestly, fasting from meals, wearing rough penitential burlap, and kneeling in the ashes. I poured out my heart, baring my soul to God, my God:
4-8 “‘O Master, great and august God. You never waver in your covenant commitment, never give up on those who love you and do what you say. Yet we have sinned in every way imaginable. We’ve done evil things, rebelled, dodged and taken detours around your clearly marked paths. We’ve turned a deaf ear to your servants the prophets, who preached your Word to our kings and leaders, our parents, and all the people in the land. You have done everything right, Master, but all we have to show for our lives is guilt and shame, the whole lot of us—people of Judah, citizens of Jerusalem, Israel at home and Israel in exile in all the places we’ve been banished to because of our betrayal of you. Oh yes, God, we’ve been exposed in our shame, all of us—our kings, leaders, parents—before the whole world. And deservedly so, because of our sin.
9-12 “‘Compassion is our only hope, the compassion of you, the Master, our God, since in our rebellion we’ve forfeited our rights. We paid no attention to you when you told us how to live, the clear teaching that came through your servants the prophets. All of us in Israel ignored what you said. We defied your instructions and did what we pleased. And now we’re paying for it: The solemn curse written out plainly in the revelation to God’s servant Moses is now doing its work among us, the wages of our sin against you. You did to us and our rulers what you said you would do: You brought this catastrophic disaster on us, the worst disaster on record—and in Jerusalem!
13-14 “‘Just as written in God’s revelation to Moses, the catastrophe was total. Nothing was held back. We kept at our sinning, never giving you a second thought, oblivious to your clear warning, and so you had no choice but to let the disaster loose on us in full force. You, our God, had a perfect right to do this since we persistently and defiantly ignored you.
15-17 “‘Master, you are our God, for you delivered your people from the land of Egypt in a show of power—people are still talking about it! We confess that we have sinned, that we have lived bad lives. Following the lines of what you have always done in setting things right, settingpeople right, please stop being so angry with Jerusalem, your very own city, your holy mountain. We know it’s our fault that this has happened, all because of our sins and our parents’ sins, and now we’re an embarrassment to everyone around us. We’re a blot on the neighborhood. So listen, God, to this determined prayer of your servant. Have mercy on your ruined Sanctuary. Act out of who you are, not out of what we are.
18 “‘Turn your ears our way, God, and listen. Open your eyes and take a long look at our ruined city, this city named after you. We know that we don’t deserve a hearing from you. Our appeal is to your compassion. This prayer is our last and only hope:
19 “‘Master, listen to us!
Master, forgive us!
Master, look at us and do something!
Master, don’t put us off!
Your city and your people are named after you:
You have a stake in us!’
2 Chronicles 7:13-18

12-18 God appeared to Solomon that very night and said, “I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. From now on I’m alert day and night to the prayers offered at this place. Believe me, I’ve chosen and sanctified this Temple that you have built: My Name is stamped on it forever; my eyes are on it and my heart in it always. As for you, if you live in my presence as your father David lived, pure in heart and action, living the life I’ve set out for you, attentively obedient to my guidance and judgments, then I’ll back your kingly rule over Israel—make it a sure thing on a sure foundation. The same covenant guarantee I gave to David your father I’m giving to you, namely, ‘You can count on always having a descendant on Israel’s throne.’
6am Lord, we confess national sin, corporate rebellion, and collective pride; we appeal to Your great mercies.
9am We do not present our supplications because of our righteousness but because of Your compassion.
12pm Let shame be turned to repentance and repentance be turned to restoration in our land.
3pm Every covenant with injustice, bloodshed, idolatry, and corruption, be broken by divine mercy.
6pm Father, hear, forgive, hearken, and do; delay not for Your name’s sake.
9pm I decree that desolate places shall be remembered by God and rebuilt by His favor.
12am Let spiritual drought, social collapse, and moral ruin give way to healing and reformation.
3am O God, remember Your people, preserve Your testimony, and revive our land for the sake of Your great name.
Day 34 – Evangelism and Encounters for Unbelievers

As the parents of the child Jesus brought him in to carry out the rituals of the Law, Simeon took him into his arms and blessed God:

8-11 “When he comes, he’ll expose the error of the godless world’s view of sin, righteousness, and judgment: He’ll show them that their refusal to believe in me is their basic sin; that righteousness comes from above, where I am with the Father, out of their sight and control; that judgment takes place as the ruler of this godless world is brought to trial and convicted.
6am Father, let the light of Christ break into the darkness of unbelief, indifference, and hardened resistance.
9am Convict hearts of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and remove scales from blinded minds.
12pm I pray for divine encounters, dreams, visitations, and undeniable revelations of Jesus Christ.
3pm Every veil over families, communities, and peoples who do not yet believe, be torn by the mercy of God.
6pm Lord, interrupt false peace and comfortable rebellion with holy conviction that leads to salvation.
9pm Let seekers find You, scoffers be arrested by truth, and prodigals be drawn home.
12am Raise witnesses filled with compassion, clarity, and power to preach Christ effectively.

Day 35 – Personal Warfare and Sanctification

The Message
A Fight to the Finish
10-12 And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no weekend war that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.
13-18 Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

The Master sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s vicious little production and the spectacle the Jewish mob was looking forward to.”
6am Father, command Your angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways during this fast and beyond.
9am I decree that territorial oppression, coordinated assault, and invisible intimidation shall not prevail.
