The secret is to be spirit conscious or develop a spirit consciousness.
Soul Consciousness – You can decide to be soul conscious where you are constantly conscious about things of this life, the temporal sphere of life and how it affects you which breeds anxiety and worry and all manner of fear.
Flesh Consciousness – You can decide to be flesh or body conscious where you focus on sensuality, the five senses as you perceive the things you can see or sight, touch or feel, hear or hearing, smell or smelling, or taste or testing. The bible says, to be carnally minded is death and to be spiritually minded in life and peace – Romans 8:6
Spirit consciousness is equivalent to love consciousness – By love, we mean the unselfish self-sacrificing love of God.
God is love – 1 John 4:8. God is spirit – John 4:24. In the Spirit world, one does not think of oneself alone but is constantly conscious of the love of God, the love present in all His creation and the love on feels for others.
There is always a sense of oneness with God and with all His creation in the practice of the presence of God. As I learn, experience and understand what the spirit consciousness is like, I can practice this every day until it is a daily part of my life.

On Monday the 11th of July 2022, all day I was thinking about the events happening around our country and suddenly, I was in the spirit. I was standing in front of the British Embassy and Nigeria. Suddenly, the high representative in Nigeria ran out with a poster to place at the entrance that the embassy is closing indefinitely. The gate was closed stopping even their own citizens from getting into the embassy who have already queued up behind the closed British embassy gate. I went and spoke to the high representative saying, “Sir, the information on this poster does not communicate the reason for this closure, why don’t you do a flyer and hand out to them?” In a Hurry, he ran back in, came back out with some flyers and began handing over to their citizens waiting outside and left some on the floor for those who will come letter.
The question you should be asking is this – Why would British embassy with a well-established presence in Nigeria begin hurriedly closing his embassy even to her own citizens?
Suddenly, the spirit reminded me of the vision I had during the October 2021 prayer walk and drive across our country in 21 days. As I got into Warri city, the south – south of Nigeria and slept over, I had this vision with the North gone out of Nigeria and the South broken into several countries. The Lord said, I should tell the church, “If they do not repent, I will break up the country into several smaller countries. The north will remain on their own and the south will be broken into several countries. The plan I have for Nigeria will be handed to Kenya to fulfill.” This is a conditional prophecy…if they don’t repent.
I now queried, “In what ways do we need to repent?” They are divided into two part – The Sins by Commission or conscious sins needing repentance which comprise of the 7 list I received:
1) Repent from the worship of the spirit of mammon (Money), Gold and Silver and start worshipping me – Matthew 6:24; Luke 16:13 Exodus 32; Matthew 23:23; Mathew 6:33; Luke 16:14
2) Repent from Exploitation of my sheep – 2 Peter 2:3; Isaiah 61:8; Ezekiel 34:1-31; Matthew 23:14; Matthew 23:25
3) Repent from the sin of divination and sorcery in my house 1 Samuel 15:23; Leviticus 20:27; Galatians 5:19-20; Revelation 21:8; Isaiah 8:19-22
4) Repent from aiding and abetting criminals, by strengthening the arm of the wicked to do evil – Jeremiah 23:14; Isaiah 5:20-21: Matthew 23:13; Revelation 18:23; Revelation 22:19
5) Repent from causing my children to err by aiding and abetting divorce and all manner of evil all in the name of expansion of ministry Malachi 2:16; Matthew 19:8; Matthew 23:15; James 3:1; Luke 16:18
6) Repent from preach me happy messages and start preaching repentance and all that entails the kingdom of GOD – Matthew 23:15; Matthew 23:25; Mark 6:19: Revelation 22:19
7) Repent from building your empires and start building my kingdom in unity of spirit and faith Matthew 6:33 Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:1-3:13
After these are sins by omission which are 6 in number requiring repentance:
Sins by Omission Matthew 25:25-46
Sins by omission are as sinful as sinful as conscious sins. These sins will be revealed on the judgement day. Some examples of sins by omission:
1) Not witnessing – Luke 12:8-9
2) Not praying – 1 Sam 12:23
3) Not to believe (Trust) in the Lord – 2 kings 7:2, John 16:9; Hebrew 3:17-19
4) Not to love the Lord – 1 Corinthians 16:22;13
5) Not practicing good deeds – Galatians 6:9; Matt 25:45
6) Not doing the work of the Lord with commitment – Jeremiah 46:10, Judge 5:23
Self – Assessment in the secret place and not others Assessment
This is about self-assessment and repentance both for leaders and followership. It is not about finger pointing. it is about self-pointing because everyone will give account of their stewardship before God – Romans 14:10-12; Matthew 12:36. Let’s take care of these and others as we are led and let see how God will take care of our country and the oppressors. So please, by all means get the voting cards because faith without works is dead but by all means get the inside right so that the outside can get right…we are the light of Nigeria. We change our inside, our outside called Nigeria changes and it does not matter who sits on the throne. It matters to God who is sitting in the centre of hearts of His people.. He wants to be the one pulling the cart called Nigeria of our lives but we Christians need to give Him control of every aspect of our lives. Seek the kingdom which is already in you and all other things including Nigeria, wealth riches, good government will be added to us.. Paraphrased Matthew 6:33
As a watchman and intercessor for the church and leadership, I end with this note:
Ezekiel 3:20
Again, when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I place an obstacle before him, he will die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.
Ezekiel 33:6
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman’s hand.’
NOTE: When God looks over Nigeria for spiritual leadership, He looks at His church and not at Aso Rock. The spiritual realm rules over the physical realm. If the physical realm is in disarray, then check the spiritual leadership… Christians are accountable for the light in the nation where we dwell. – Matthew 5:14-16 Selah!

I would like us to meditate on these three scriptures as we look at what the kingdom of God is:
Luke 16:14-16

14 Now the Pharisees, who were covetous and lovers of money, heard all these things [taken together], and they began to sneer at and ridicule and scoff at Him.
15 But He said to them, You are the ones who declare yourselves just and upright before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted and highly thought of among men is detestable and abhorrent (an abomination) in the sight of God.
16 Until John came, there were the Law and the Prophets; since then the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone strives violently to go in [would force his [a]own way rather than God’s way into it].
Luke 17:20-21

20 Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display,

Kingdom of God, also called Kingdom Of Heaven, in Christianity, the spiritual realm over which God reigns as king, or the fulfillment on Earth of God’s will. The phrase occurs frequently in the New Testament, primarily used by Jesus Christ in the first three Gospels. It is generally considered to be the central theme of Jesus’ teaching, but widely differing views have been held about Jesus’ teaching on the Kingdom of God and its relation to the developed view of the church.
The Kingdom of God is mentioned through the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. In fact, the phrase “Kingdom of God” is used over 70 times in the New Testament – with the Gospel of Matthew over 30 times. As a Christian, it’s essential to understand the meaning behind this phrase which is often confusing for many Christians and non-Christians. If someone asked you what the kingdom of God meant, would you know how to answer them?
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 14:17
Let’s look at the original Greek and Hebrew meaning of the phrase, the different phrases used throughout the Bible, what it means to seek first the Kingdom of God and how to live and pray with the Kingdom of God in mind.
Origin & Meaning of The Kingdom of God
From the coming of Jesus Christ to begin the kingdom, through the whole story of redemptive history and the Church, we see a clear picture of the Gospel. According to Easton’s Bible Dictionary, This “kingdom of God” is mentioned in the Scriptures in several different ways throughout the Old and New Testaments: Matthew 6:33, Mark 1:14-15, and Luke 4:43 all refer to the “kingdom of Christ.”
Matthew 13:41 and 20:21 refer to the “kingdom of Christ and God.”
Ephesians 5:5 refers to the “kingdom of David.”
Mark 11:10 refers to “the kingdom.”
Matthew 3:2, 4:17, 8:12, 13:14, and 13:29 refer to the “kingdom of heaven.”
Even though the exact wording differs between Christ, God, and heaven, all Scriptures embody the same concept with different aspects. Here are three things that the Kingdom of God means:
- The rule of Jesus Christ on earth and in heaven
- The blessing and advantages that flow from living under Christ’s rule
- The subjects of this kingdom, or the Church
Just how important was the understanding of the Kingdom of God? John the Baptist used it often as he called for “repent, for the kingdom of God is near” (Matthew 3:2). Jesus Christ himself not only said, “the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe” (Matthew 4:17), but he also used it when teaching his disciples how to pray “your kingdom come” (Matthew 6:10), in the Beatitudes “theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3 and 10). At the Last Supper, “I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God” (Mark 14:25).
Why Does Matthew Use “Kingdom of Heaven” Instead of “Kingdom of God”?
Throughout the Gospel of Matthew, we see Matthew using the phrase “kingdom of heaven” when referring to the announcement of the rule of Jesus Christ and the good news of His reign. He does this out of sensitivity to the Jews who avoid mentioning the sacred name of God. The doctrine is the same, and there is no different view or meaning of the kingdom of God versus heaven; Matthew is simply using an indirect phrase that respects the reader.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” ~ Matthew 7:21
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” ~ Matthew 5:3
“Matthew talks about the breakthrough of the kingdom and the arrival of Jesus in His incarnation. He announces the coming of the kingdom at the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry, and at the end of the book Matthew speaks about the final consummation of the coming of that kingdom in the Olivet Discourse. So from the first page of Matthew to the last page, we see the unifying theme of the coming of the kingdom of God in the appearance of the king Himself, who is the Messiah of Israel and the fulfillment of the kingdom given to Judah.” (Excerpted from “The Witness of Matthew” by Ligonier Ministries (used by permission).
Writer Chris Swanson puts it this way: “There is no genuine distinction between the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God. The two expressions are basically two unique approaches to show the same thing: a system of government or a kingdom that is ruled and controlled by God. The authority to rule was given to Jesus Christ by the Father, who is now situated at the right hand of the Father. At an assigned future time, at the hour of Christ’s subsequent returning, Christ will then, carry this rule from Heaven to earth. As such, Christ will reign with the authority and power of God and of heaven.”
What Does It Mean to “Seek First the Kingdom of God”?
A verse every Christian should commit to memory is Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Jesus taught us to pray, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). This is praying for a day when God will bring heaven to earth and bring His rule on this planet. God still has a plan for planet Earth. He will rule and reign here, and as believers, we will rule and reign with Him. So that is in the future.
When we pray and seek the Kingdom of God, we are also praying for the rule and reign of the kingdom of God in our lives. This is when Jesus is in charge. On one occasion, Jesus said, “For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21), where He was speaking of himself. When you are under His lordship, and when He is in control of your life, that is the kingdom of God. It is not rules and regulations but “righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
Praying “The Kingdom Come”
“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. “
Matthew 6:9-13
In what is commonly referred to as the “Lord’s Prayer,” we are taught to pray not only for God’s will to take control of our lives but also that the saving Gospel would spread throughout the earth. We have become a part of God’s kingdom when we accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and repent. We are then called to be witnesses of Jesus, to tell others about Him and that we would remain surrendered to His will for our lives.
Praying for God’s Kingdom should be our focus as Christians – for a fruitful life and for Jesus to be made known across the earth.
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” ~ John 3:3
What Does it Mean that the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand?
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” ~ Matthew 3:2
The Kingdom of Heaven drew near to us when God himself came to earth as a man. This is what is meant by John when he said, “The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.” He implied that the kingdom of heaven is now available today in the Person of the King.
The Jewish religious leaders were looking for an actual physical kingdom, not a spiritual one. So, one could say that the kingdom of heaven is a reality now in the present.
Today, Jesus Christ lives and reigns in the hearts of all believers, yet the Kingdom of Heaven will not be completely acknowledged until all evil on the planet is judged and eliminated.
Christ first came to earth to live and fulfill the role of a suffering servant. One day, he will return as ruler and judge to govern over all the earth.
The individuals who come to Christ as Savior and recognize him as their Lord are converted into the realm, the kingdom of the Son. They have a place with Jesus now. Christians have a closer connection with Jesus than that of a subject of an earthly king.
The Heirs of the Kingdom – How do we enter the kingdom? When should we enter the kingdom? What does qualify us to enter the kingdom? How can I be sure I am in it? Can I be thrown out of it?

a) As we are – John 6:37
b) Weary and heavy-laden Matt 11:28
c) Confessing: I have sinned – Luke 15:21
d) Through the new birth – John 3:5
2) When should we enter the kingdom? – On the day of salvation, the day is today 2 Corin 6:2, Hebrews 3:7
3) What does qualify us to enter the kingdom?
- a) The renewal through the Holy Spirit – Titus 3:5
- b) The acceptance of the Lord through repentance and faith – John 1:12, Acts 20:21
4) How can I be sure I am in it? Can I be thrown out of it? – find out in Nine (9) scriptures
Matthew 8:12
but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 22:13
Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
