GOD IS LIFE — WHAT CAN WE GIVE IN RETURN?
God is not just the giver of life; He is life (John 14:6). We owe Him not only our tithes and offerings, but our entire being. What can we give in exchange for the breath we did not earn, the salvation we did not deserve, and the grace we cannot repay?
Our time. Our talents. Our treasures. Our total obedience.
He gave us all — and expects our giving to be an act of love, not obligation.
️ THE CHURCH IN ACTS: A MODEL OF SELFLESS GIVING
In the early church, giving went far beyond 10%. They sold properties. They shared all things. They gave their time, their homes, their hearts, their very lives — all for the sake of the Gospel.
“There were no needy persons among them… they brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet…” — Acts 4:34–35
This was not law-based giving — it was love-based, Spirit-driven, kingdom-expanding generosity.
WE ARE NOW KINGS & PRIESTS – LET’S LIVE LIKE IT
“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood…” — 1 Peter 2:9
In Christ, we are now kings and priests, and our giving must reflect our divine identity.
Tithing (10%) was a minimum benchmark under the Law — a schoolmaster. But under grace, we’re called to go higher: sacrificial, cheerful, and Spirit-led giving.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion…” — 2 Corinthians 9:7

GIVING IS KINGDOM BUSINESS — DON’T LET ABUSE STOP YOUR OBEDIENCE
Yes, it’s true—many leaders have misused the resources of God’s people:
- Jets, mansions, private businesses
- No care for the poor, no accountability
- Luxury on the altar, poverty in the pews
But this should not stop you from doing what is right. Our giving is unto God, not unto man. And God will judge both the giver and the steward.
So, seek out faithful ministries. Demand transparency. But never stop giving.
