Day 5 of 40 -  Prayer and Fasting for Church (You and I) and Leadership - Tuesday 21st Of March 2023

Week 1 – Self and Family – Inner and Extended

1) God’s kingdom, God’s Will, His specific plans and purposes for our lives to unfold and manifest in fullness; as He unfolds to us with specifics, we 2),  make commitment to follow through, then we 3), do this with an attitude of unity and love.

Scriptures for meditation  : 2 Peter 1: 3-11 and 1 John 4:7-21 Psalm 37:4-5

Confirming One’s Calling and Election

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires – through lust.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness ; and to goodness, knowledge ; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance ; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

And this one

1 John 4:7-21
New International Version
God’s Love and Ours
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love.Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

Bible Reading plans: Complete the entire bible in 40 days.. Reading like children and allowing the Holy Spirit to expound the scriptures to us…He is our teacher.
30 chapters per day reading through the 8 watches of 24 hour day.

Reading Old testament Forward and New Testament Backwards..
Genesis, Exodus

Revelations, Jude, 3John, 2 John , 1John , 2 Peter and so on..

Spiritual sensitivity:

Don’t come out of a fast, especially a long one without hearing from your Father in Heaven.. His Eager to speak to you..We must be hungry to hear from Him_ It’s not that He is not speaking, it’s just that we are not tuned or trained to hear.. our senses are not sensitized to hear.. Romans 8:14.

Keep your five spiritual senses in alert mode – the sense of spiritual sight, hearing, tasting, touching, and smelling Take note of thoughts projected upon the mind. In decisions, be attentive to sudden lack of interest in things or decisions that we were so confident it was the right choice prior.  We should come to God with open and clear book so that He can write what He has to say. If we have made up our mind, that is what we will hear, see, or experience. Come to Him as a child- simplicity of heart, no hidden agenda, no preferences. His preference becomes ours.

Finally:

Psalm 37:4-5
New King James Version
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit[a] your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.

Shalom!
