🔥 DAY 39 — JAMES: RESPONSIBILITY
James didn’t see it coming.
In Chicago, things had been building.
Conversations.
Moments.
People opening up.
At first, it felt exciting.
Encouraging.
Even surprising.
But now…
It felt different.
Because it wasn’t just happening anymore.
It was growing.
Someone he had shared with was now asking questions regularly.
Another person wanted to start reading Scripture together.
A small group was beginning to form.
And suddenly, James felt something new:
Responsibility.
Not pressure.
Not performance.
But stewardship.
Because this wasn’t only about his own journey anymore.
People were now looking to him.
Not for perfection.
But for guidance.
Consistency.
Direction.
One evening he sat quietly and wondered:
“Am I ready for this?”
“What if I don’t know what to say?”
“What if I get it wrong?”
Those thoughts came quickly.
But something deeper answered:
“You don’t need to have everything figured out.”
“You only need to remain faithful.”
And everything changed.
Because responsibility isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about faithfully walking with the people God has entrusted to you.
Not leading from a distance.
But leading through obedience.
Through example.
Through consistency.
James realized something important:
