Key Verses:
Psalm 10:1-18 ESV
Why, O Lord, do you stand far away? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the poor; let them be caught in the schemes that they have devised. For the wicked boasts of the desires of his soul, and the one greedy for gain curses and renounces the Lord. In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.” His ways prosper at all times; your judgments are on high, out of his sight; as for all his foes, he puffs at them.
Habakkuk 1:2 How long, LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, “Violence!” but you do not save.
2 Timothy 2:14-16 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
14 Remind [the people] of these facts and [ solemnly ] charge them in the presence of the Lord to avoid petty controversy over words, which does no good but upsets and undermines the faith of the hearers.15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing (rightly handling and skillfully teaching) the Word of Truth.
16 But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.
1 Peter 3:15 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
15 But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully.
Colossians 1:9-10 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
9 For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [[a]special] request for you, (Asking)
that you may be filled with the [b]full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [[c]in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things—
10 That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God (with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition)
Introduction.
Dear friends, welcome to our series on Questions from Christians and Non-Christians on hot topics bothering on our faith and biblical, Spirit-led answers.
Daily, people turn to the Internet to find answers to their questions about spiritual matters. Topics related to spirituality are the second-most searched subjects online. Sadly, websites that present false teachings far outnumber those that proclaim the truth of God’s Word.
Is it wrong to question God? In the Bible, we often see believers questioning God such as David, Habakkuk and others who asks why is this evil happening? God later answers them and they rejoice in the Lord. Their questions were coming from a sincere heart.
The problem is many people often question God with a rebellious untrusting heart not truly trying to get an answer from the Lord.
They try to attack the character of God because God allowed something to happen, which is a sin.
Sometimes we might say, “why God” and later find out the reason that God did this and that.
It’s one thing to ask God why and another thing to doubt His goodness and His existence. In confusing situations pray for wisdom and expect an answer.
We will provide answers as the Holy Spirit leads us from a biblical perspective. You will also need to pray to secure answers to any question you may have because one of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to lead us into all truth – John 16:13.
