Hello Friends, welcome back from Easter Holidays!

Today, we bring you, “Perfect Discipleship in Perfect Words, Works and Wonders: Eight (8) Tell – Tale Signs Leaders are not making disciples and Why + The Story of Three (3) Luxury Car Motor Mechanic Workshop Owner Managers and their Trainee Workers – Eng. Last week, we looked at the following title, Perfect Purging, Cleansing and Purifying in Perfect Words, Works and Wonders: Judgement against lying Leaders and Prophets  + Seven (7) Years Prophecy of Purging, Cleansing and Purifying concerning the churches and leadership in Nigeria, Africa, America and the rest of the NATIONS initiated + The Rise of China as a Ruthless Super Power and National Debts – 40 Days Prayer and Fasting for Revival and Unity in the Churches and Leadership Day 27 of 40, Week 5 of 6.”

Before I bring in our today’s title, I would like to discuss some incidences that happened in Nigeria within the last ten (10) days and how it reflects on this nation’s collective consciousness which is modeled and expressed by us Christians.

Collective consciousness, collective conscience, or collective conscious (French: conscience collective) is the set of shared beliefs, ideas, and moral attitudes which operate as a unifying force within society.

It is expressed in how Nigerians react to events within their domain – good, bad or ugly. Especially these two events that happened within the same time.

The Death by Domestic Violence of Lead Singer – Osinachi of Dunamis Worship Centre and Massacre of more than 100 Christian Farmers in Plateau State within the last 10 days

Find report here https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/north-central/523494-over-100-killed-in-fresh-attacks-on-plateau-communities.html

The amount of time and resources dedicated to the passing of late gospel singer Osinachi and the 100 plus Christians massacred in Jos is like the distance between heaven and earth in terms of focus. Anger and counter anger being expressed on social media concerning the late gospel singer but completely muted concerning the events on the plateau to fellow Christians going about their legitimate business, on their own land.

No bishop, prophet, apostle, teachers and leaders of the churches spoke.. possibly because it did not happen to members of their local assembly not knowing that the local assembly is a finite part of the body of Christ.

Concerning late Osinachi, we here that nobody knew what was happening or that some knew and they were warned not to disclose. The point here is, both were workers in the same church – very active members. Is it that nobody discerned anything? Is it that there are no structures in place to report such incidences? Are we building massive buildings rather than build men and women towards God? Does the general overseer allow prophets in their midst to express what they are picking up or is it only the general overseer that sees and hears? Aren’t we supposed to worship God in spirit and in truth – spirit to Spirit? Why wasn’t these incidences spiritually discerned? Are we worshipping together physically but spiritually we are far apart from each other? Why are we so selected in who we love and who we don’t give attention too? Have we really entered God’s rest which can only be found in His peace, in unity and in love?

I was worshipping at one of the mega churches in Abuja and I heard the general overseer say to the members of the church and I quote, “If you come to tell me what God told you about the church where I overseer and it does not bear witness with my spirit, it cannot be from God and I reject those messages”

And then when trouble surfaces to the shame of the church, we tell the world, “nobody told me anything and I did not receive anything”

We never, ever play the place of God in people’s lives. That is usurping Gods position and hence so many leaders are going back home before their time.

We should stop these unscriptural practices brought from the world into the church which is undermining the effectiveness of the body of Christ and we should be interested in what is going on in other members lives. Not just in our local assembles but in the wider body of Christ around the world.

Indeed, we are one body, united in faith and not unity in denominations or fathers and mothers in the Lord. God is beyond those myopic reasoning!

Let’s read and meditate on these scriptures below:

Read this – Philippians 2:4

BRG Bible

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

1 Corinthians 12:25-27

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

25 So that there should be no division or discord or lack of adaptation [of the parts of the body to each other], but the members all alike should have a mutual interest in and care for one another.

26 And if one member suffers, all the parts [share] the suffering; if one member is honored, all the members [share in] the enjoyment of it.

27 Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body and [individually] you are members of it, each part severally and distinct [each with his own place and function].

John 15:12;17

12 This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you.

17 This is what I command you: that you love one another.

John 17:9-26

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

I am praying for them. I am not praying (requesting) for the world, but for those You have given Me, for they belong to You.

10 All [things that are] Mine are Yours, and all [things that are] Yours belong to Me; and I am glorified in (through) them. [They have done Me honor; in them My glory is achieved.]

11 And [now] I am no more in the world, but these are [still] in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep in Your Name [[a]in the knowledge of Yourself] those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We [are one].

12 While I was with them, I kept and preserved them in Your Name [[b]in the knowledge and worship of You]. Those You have given Me I guarded and protected, and not one of them has perished or is lost except the son of perdition [Judas Iscariot—the one who is now doomed to destruction, destined to be lost], that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

13 And now I am coming to You; I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full and complete and perfect in them [that they may experience My delight fulfilled in them, that My enjoyment may be perfected in their own souls, that they may have My gladness within them, filling their hearts].

14 I have given and delivered to them Your word (message) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world [do not belong to the world], just as I am not of the world.

15 I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one.

16 They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), [just] as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.

18 Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19 And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth.

20 Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,

21 That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.

22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one:

23 I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.

24 Father, I desire that they also whom You have entrusted to Me [as Your gift to Me] may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory, which You have given Me [Your love gift to Me]; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

25 O just and righteous Father, although the world has not known You and has failed to recognize You and has never acknowledged You, I have known You [continually]; and these men understand and know that You have sent Me.

26 I have made Your Name known to them and revealed Your character and Your very [c]Self, and I will continue to make [You] known, that the love which You have bestowed upon Me may be in them [felt in their hearts] and that I [Myself] may be in them.

Prayer:

We are one! We are not separate entities! What touches one should touch all if we are one!

Father, make us one so that we can discern by Your Spirit with ease what others are going through without them opening their mouth in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Visions for Leadership and the Churches – Messages for the Church concerning Collective Captivity and not entering Gods rest powered by lack of contentment

As we prayed for church and leadership in general, these are some of the messages received for we are watchman for the body of Christ and leadership:

You want to the responsibility of a watchman? Read this scripture as you replace Israel with the Church and Ezekiel as you:

Ezekiel 33:1-20

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

33 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Son of man, speak to your people [the Israelite captives in Babylon] and say to them, When I bring the sword upon a land and the people of the land take a man from among them and make him their watchman,

If when he sees the sword coming upon the land, he blows the trumpet and warns the people,

Then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning shall save his life.

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, he is taken away in and for his perversity and iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

So you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at My mouth and give them warning from Me.

When I say to the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his perversity and iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand.

But if you warn the wicked to turn from his evil way and he does not turn from his evil way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.

10 And you, son of man, say to the house of Israel, Thus you have said: Truly our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we waste away because of them; how then can we live?

11 Say to them, As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?

12 And you, son of man, say to your people, The uprightness and justice of the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression; and as for the wicked lawlessness of the wicked lawless, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness, neither shall the rigidly upright and just be able to live because of his past righteousness in the day that he sins and misses the mark [in keeping in harmony and right standing with God].

13 When I shall say to the [uncompromisingly] righteous that he shall surely live, and he trusts to his own righteousness [to save him] and commits iniquity (heinous sin), all his righteous deeds shall not be [seriously] remembered; but for his perversity and iniquity that he has committed he shall die.

14 Again, when I have said to the wicked, You shall surely die, if he turns from his sin and does that which is lawful and right—

15 If the wicked restores [what he took in] pledge, gives back what he had taken in robbery, walks in the statutes of life [right relationship with God], without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

16 None of his sins that he has committed shall be [seriously] remembered against him; he has done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

17 Yet your people say, The way of the Lord is not perfect or even just; but as for them, it is their own way that is not perfect or even just.

18 When the righteous turns back from his [uncompromising] righteousness and commits perverseness and iniquity, he shall even die in and because of it.

19 But if the wicked turns back from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it.

20 Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not perfect or [even] just. O you house of Israel, I will judge you, every one according to his own ways!

Please pray for the body of Christ concerning release from captivity (Isaiah 61:1; Luke 4:16-20) – both internal ( by our own doing in our minds) and external (external influences and circumstances).

His word says, “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (freedom) 2 Corinthians 3:12.” We saw so many in church that look free, and act free but are held up captive either by their own doing or by the external factors, they are not confiding or bringing it to the open so that they can be comforted and so they are not entering into God’s rest determined for His people – Hebrews 3:11, Psalm 95:11. pray for release from captivity.

We saw unbelievers taking over the assets of believers, claiming them to be their own and they were succeeding

We saw unbelievers infiltrating the church of Jesus Christ and Christians did not bother and did not take it to account. The walls of protection were crumbling around the churches.

We saw distractions with the things of the world and people of the world to the detriment of kingdom mandate

1 Timothy 6:6-11

New International Version

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Final Charge to Timothy

11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

Hebrews 3:7-19

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you will hear His voice,

Do not harden your hearts, as [happened] in the rebellion [of Israel] and their provocation and embitterment [of Me] in the day of testing in the wilderness,

Where your fathers tried [My patience] and tested [My forbearance] and found I stood their test, and they saw My works for forty years.

10 And so I was provoked (displeased and sorely grieved) with that generation, and said, They always err and are led astray in their hearts, and they have not perceived or recognized My ways and become progressively better and more experimentally and intimately acquainted with them.

11 Accordingly, I swore in My wrath and indignation, They shall not enter into My rest.

12 [Therefore beware] brethren, take care, lest there be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to cleave to, trust in, and rely on Him], leading you to turn away and desert or stand aloof from the living God.

13 But instead warn (admonish, urge, and encourage) one another every day, as long as it is called Today, that none of you may be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [by the fraudulence, the stratagem, the trickery which the delusive glamor of his sin may play on him].

14 For we have become fellows with Christ (the Messiah) and share in all He has for us, if only we hold our first newborn confidence and original assured expectation [in virtue of which we are believers] firm and unshaken to the end.

15 Then while it is [still] called Today, if you would hear His voice and when you hear it, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion [in the desert, when the people provoked and irritated and embittered God against them].

16 For who were they who heard and yet were rebellious and provoked [Him]? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

17 And with whom was He irritated and provoked and grieved for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dismembered bodies were strewn and left in the desert?

18 And to whom did He swear that they should not enter His rest, but to those who disobeyed [who had not listened to His word and who refused to be compliant or be persuaded]?

19 So we see that they were not able to enter [into His rest], because of their unwillingness to adhere to and trust in and rely on God [unbelief had shut them out].

LACK of CONTENTMENT:

What the things that are stopping us from entering God’s rest?

Lack of contentment:

We are not satisfied with our jobs

We are not satisfied with our husbands or wives

We are not satisfied with our children and their behavior

We are not satisfied with our business or ministry success

We are not satisfied with the money in our bank account or our current state or estate

We don’t like where we live, the country we live in

We want more of spirituality, more of relationship and more of everything. We are not counting our blessings no matter how bad it might seem. All things work together for our good always as Gods children – Romans 8:28

We keep comparing ourselves with ourselves –

 Read this

2 Corinthians 10:12-13

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

12 Not that we [have the audacity to] venture to class or [even to] compare ourselves with some who exalt and furnish testimonials for themselves! However, when they measure themselves with themselves and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding and behave unwisely.

13 We, on the other hand, will not boast beyond our legitimate province and proper limit, but will keep within the limits [of our commission which] God has allotted us as our measuring line and which reaches and includes even you.

Prayer:

Lord, grant us contentment so that we can come into the fullness of what you have for us all in Jesus name, amen

Pray with effectiveness and fervency James 5:16 as led as we ask the Holy SPIRIT to x-ray us individually so that His work in us will be thorough and complete, lacking nothing! James 1:4

Declare to RECOVER ALL that the enemy has stolen and close all doorways that had allow them access. Cancel and block out every distraction from the realm of wickedness that makes Christian miss the mark of the high calling of God for their lives in Jesus name, amen

The Story of Three (3) Luxury Car Motor Mechanic Workshop Owner Managers and their Trainee Workers – Eng. Okey, Engr. Emeka and Engr. Femi

Engr. Okey based in Onitsha in the eastern part of Nigeria is now nearing retirement. He is in his late sixties (60 Plus).

Engr. Okey developed reputation for handling faults in luxury branded vehicles in this mechanic worship where owners of Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Rolls Royce frequent from different parts of the country.

Engr. Okey had seventy-two (72) trainee engineers under his tutelage amongst these trainees where Engr. Emeka and Engr. Femi. Both were very close friends and studied mechanical engineering from University of Ife – Same year. They both trained under Engr. Okey for seven (7) years.

In the eighth year, they both graduated from Engr. Okey Luxury vehicle workshop and both went to Abuja to setup their own mechanic workshop for luxury brands. They were located side by side in the mechanic village and consulted actively with one another. In the first 5 years, they both experienced astronomical growth with luxury brands queuing up and booking in advance to have their car maintained. In no time, customers started coming from different part of the country to visit these two luxury brand auto workshops.

Eng. Femi had twelve (12) trainees and Engr. Emeka also had twelve (12) trainees that they eventually hired. Engr Femi made sure each of the pupil engineers observed him as he maintained the brands and gave them to practice with other cars that were brought in. In no time Engr Femi took to supervision rather than hands – on.

Engr. Emeka did not give the liberty to his trainees. He did all the work and never believed that any of the trainees can learn from him as he kept them busy either buying spare parts, take the cars that are repaired for testing but never allowed them to develop confidence that would allow them to stand on their feet.

In the eight year, cars began to pile up with customers complaining bitterly about Engr. Emeka’s mechanic workshop. Some of his staff left him and joined Engr. Femi workshop. Engr. Emeka got bitter with Engr. Femi’s apparent success and silent war began between them until customers coming into the mechanic village began to notice this rift between the two friends.

Some of Engr. Femi’s workers left to start their own which he encouraged and even gave them starting capital. In no time, Engr. Femi started a franchise for luxury car auto repair business which quickly spread to different parts of the country to neighboring west African states.

See also  Explaining Holy Ghost School Discipleship Process and Three (3) Book Stages in 38.43 Minutes

In the ninth (9) year, Engr. Emeka’s Auto business went bankrupt and his assets was taken over by his former employees who were quickly expanding their business.

End of the story!

Question for you to consider in meditative mode:

Now which of these three people – Engr. Okey, Engr. Emeka and Engr. Femi reflected and deployed discipleship principle in their auto business? How? What would you do different in your business, ministry, home, office or as you engage the world?

As you read this scripture:

Mark 6:7

And He summoned the twelve and began to send them out in pairs, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits;

Luke 10:1-2

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

10 Now after this the Lord chose and appointed seventy others and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every town and place where He Himself was about to come (visit).

And He said to them, The harvest indeed is abundant [[a]there is much ripe grain], but the farmhands are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

Mark 6:1-13

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

6 Jesus went away from there and came to His [own] country and hometown [Nazareth], and His disciples followed [with] Him.

And on the Sabbath He began to teach in the synagogue; and many who listened to Him were utterly astonished, saying, Where did this [a]Man acquire all this? What is the wisdom [the broad and full intelligence which has been] given to Him? What mighty works and exhibitions of power are wrought by His hands!

Is not this the Carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not His sisters here among us? And they took offense at Him and [b]were hurt [that is, they [c]disapproved of Him, and it hindered them from acknowledging His authority] and they were caused to stumble and fall.

But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor (deference, reverence) except in his [own] country and among [his] relatives and in his [own] house.

And He was not able to do [d]even one work of power there, except that He laid His hands on a few sickly people [and] cured them.

And He marveled because of their unbelief (their lack of faith in Him). And He went about among the surrounding villages and continued teaching.

And He called to Him the Twelve [apostles] and began to send them out [as His ambassadors] two by two and gave them authority and power over the unclean spirits.

He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a walking stick—no bread, [e]no wallet for a collection bag, no money in their belts (girdles, purses)—

But to go with sandals on their feet and not to put on two tunics (undergarments).

10 And He told them, Wherever you go into a house, stay there until you leave that place.

11 And if any community will not receive and accept and welcome you, and they refuse to listen to you, when you depart, shake off the dust that is on your feet, for a testimony against them. [f]Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the judgment day than for that town.

12 So they went out and preached that men should repent [[g]that they should change their minds for the better and heartily amend their ways, with abhorrence of their past sins].

13 And they drove out many unclean spirits and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.

Mark 16:14-20

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

14 Afterward He appeared to the Eleven [apostles themselves] as they reclined at table; and He reproved and reproached them for their unbelief (their lack of faith) and their hardness of heart, because they had refused to believe those who had seen Him and looked at Him attentively after He had risen [from death].

15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].

16 He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned.

17 And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;

18 They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.

19 So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and He sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it).

Now, Seven (7) Tell Tale Signs Leaders are not making disciples and Why

On Saturday the 22nd of April, 2006, three days to the end of the prayer and fasting for the churches and leadership which the Lord Jesus Christ commissioned me to do started on the 17th of March 2006, The Lord showed up at exactly 5am in the morning of that day because I had asked Him that I would want to see Him face to face before the fasting ended. He honored that request and immediately after that encounter, I saw in a vision, Jesus was standing in front of me with His body disjointed somehow. You could see through the joints and each part of His body was a name of a church denomination I was acquainted with. I picked up in the spirit that disunity amongst brethren was diving His body and I asked Him, “where do I fit in in this disjoined body of His?” He told me to look for churches that disciple and that I should not be moved by numbers.

So, lets look at eight (8) tell-tale signs that leaders, pastors, prophets, evangelist, teachers, apostles are not discipling the members.

1)When members rely on you for all their spiritual needs and hardly express the spiritual gifts in the body of Christ and when you are absent, no one can manifest the spiritual gift that you have.

2)When members cannot meet the spiritual needs of others but point those to you the leader – They are clueless as to what discipleship means and how to make one.

3)When you make decisions for members who to marry, what business to go into, when to travel and when not to, when the basic decisions that pertains to life is done by you and not them and are not taught how to make crucial decisions themselves.

4)When members come to you to solve their problems for them without using their own initiative

5)When your members listen to your own sermon and not to others in the body of Christ as instructed by you or are not allowed to read any other books except your own.

6)When your members can’t worship anywhere else except your own church or those that affiliated to you.

7)When members are told they should imitate you and not Christ even if your life and fruit of the spirit defiles the standard and sanctity of the scripture

8)When the number of people who come and leave your church are far higher in number without any future links to you than those who remain and when you add members to your church from other churches rather than get virgin converts to the fold of Christ.

There are more but above should set the ball rolling for us to amend and begin making disciples who will go out to make other disciples

Now, lets look at “The Truth the Holy Spirit Unveiled to me concerning paying Tithes, Offering, First Fruits and Sacrificial Seeds and their relationship to Unity and Revival in the churches and leadership”

During this fasting, I took the above question to the Lord because it has become a controversial issue in the body of Christ. I asked Him that I noticed that the disciples did not mention anything about sacrificial seeds, tithes except willing offerings. That people gave after the Pentecost, both Peter, Paul, James, John, Jude never brought out issue concerning tithe and seeds. I needed His perspective because we are talking about a perfect God and that whatever He does is perfect.

I have written about the issue surrounding tithes before and you can look those up via this link

Key points about tithe are that :

1)Tithe was to be eaten by the givers at the house of the Lord every year

2)Tithe in the third year were to be brought before the house of the Lord and shared to the levites, the windows and orphans and the sojourners or foreigners and are usually kept in the storehouse since some of these tithes where in grain form.

Lets look at the times where tithes was mention in scripture in more details

    1)Tithing before Moses

    2)What Moses said about tithing

    3)How Israelites tithed

    4)What Jesus said about tithing

5)More note-worthy bible verses about tithing

lets look at

    1)Tithing before Moses

(GEN. 14:19–20)

And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!” And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

We see here that Abram was not under any law. A priest ministered to him and he decided of his own free will to give 10% of all the booty he collected. At those times, the heathen usually will give gifts to their Gods or the earthly priest to show sign of appreciation

Now lets look at Jacobs vow

Genesis 28:22

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

22 And this stone which I have set up as a pillar (monument) shall be God’s house [a sacred place to me], and of all [the increase of possessions] that You give me I will give the tenth to You.

Jacob used his initiative to make a vow of 10% of all his earning. He was not under duress from God to do this. Again this was a popular practice in their day to give a percentage of earning and he must have learnt from grand father Abraham.

2)What Moses said about tithing

THE TITHE IS INTRODUCED AS LAW

Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord. If a man wishes to redeem some of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it. And every tithe of herds and flocks, every tenth animal of all that pass under the herdsman’s staff, shall be holy to the Lord. One shall not differentiate between good or bad, neither shall he make a substitute for it; and if he does substitute for it, then both it and the substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.”

(LEV. 27:30–34)

Numbers 18:20-32

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

20 And the Lord said to Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in the land [of the Israelites], neither shall you have any part among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the Israelites.

21 And, behold, I have given the Levites all the tithes in Israel for an inheritance in return for their service which they serve, the [menial] service of the Tent of Meeting.

22 Henceforth the Israelites shall not come near the Tent of Meeting [the covered sanctuary, the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies], lest they incur guilt and die.

23 But the Levites shall do the [menial] service of the Tent of Meeting, and they shall bear and remove the iniquity of the people [that is, be answerable for the legal pollutions of the holy things and offer the necessary atonements for unintentional offenses in these matters]. It shall be a statute forever in all your generations, that among the Israelites the Levites have no inheritance [of land].

24 But the tithes of the Israelites, which they present as an offering to the Lord, I have given to the Levites to inherit; therefore I have said to them, Among the Israelites they shall have no inheritance. [They have homes and cities and pasturage to use but not to possess as their personal inheritance.]

25 And the Lord said to Moses,

26 Moreover, you shall say to the Levites, When you take from the Israelites the tithe which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall present an offering from it to the Lord, even a tenth of the tithe [paid by the people].

27 And what you lift out and keep [your heave offering] shall be credited to you as though it were the grain of the threshing floor or as the fully ripe produce of the vine.

28 Likewise you shall also present an offering to the Lord of all your tithes which you receive from the Israelites; and therefore you shall give this heave offering [lifted out and kept] for the Lord to Aaron the priest.

29 Out of all the gifts to you, you shall present every offering due to the Lord, of all the best of it, even the hallowed part lifted out and held back out of it [for the Levites].

30 Therefore you shall say to them, When you have lifted out and held back the best from it [and presented it to the Lord by giving it to yourselves, the Levites], then it shall be counted to [you] the Levites just as if it were the increase of the threshing floor or of the winepress.

31 And you may eat it in every place, you and your households, for it is your reward for your service in the Tent of Meeting.

32 And you shall be guilty of no sin by reason of it when you have lifted out and held back the best of it; neither shall you have polluted the holy things of the Israelites, neither shall you die [because of it].

And this

Deuteronomy 14:22-29

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

22 You shall surely tithe all the yield of your seed produced by your field each year.

23 And you shall eat before the Lord your God in the place in which He will cause His Name [and Presence] to dwell the tithe (tenth) of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstlings of your herd and your flock, that you may learn [reverently] to fear the Lord your God always.

24 And if the distance is too long for you to carry your tithe, or the place where the Lord your God chooses to set His Name [and Presence] is too far away for you, when the Lord your God has blessed you,

25 Then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place [of worship] which the Lord your God has chosen.

26 And you may spend that money for whatever your appetite craves, for oxen, or sheep, or new wine or strong[er] drink, or whatever you desire; and you shall eat there before the Lord your God and you shall rejoice, you and your household.

27 And you shall not forsake or neglect the Levite [God’s minister] in your towns, for he has been given no share or inheritance with you.

28 At the end of every three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your increase the same year and lay it up within your towns.

29 And the Levite [because he has no part or inheritance with you] and the stranger or temporary resident, and the fatherless and the widow who are in your towns shall come and eat and be satisfied, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.

Deuteronomy 12:4-7

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

You shall not behave so toward the Lord your God.

But you shall seek the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His [a]Name and make His dwelling place, and there shall you come;

And there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the offering of your hands, and your vows and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock.

And there you shall eat before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice in all to which you put your hand, you and your households, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.

And this

Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, “How have we robbed you?” In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you.

(MAL. 3:8–9)

TESTING GOD IN THE TITHE

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.

(MAL. 3:10–12)

DON’T NEGLECT THE WEIGHTIER ISSUES

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

(MATT. 23:23

Sacrificial GIVING

And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”

(MARK 12:41–44)

TITHING AND PRIDE

He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

(LUKE 18:9–14)

FRUIT: JUSTICE AND LOVE

But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

(LUKE 11:42)

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, and to him Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything. He is first, by translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, that is, king of peace.

(HEB. 7:1–2)

SO why didn’t early Christians give tithe? Because the Levitical order disappeared with Christ. We became kings and priest and as kings and priest, we gave sacrificially as we find need within Gods people.

Read this

Acts 4:33-35

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

33 And with great strength and ability and power the apostles delivered their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace (loving-kindness and favor and goodwill) rested richly upon them all.

34 Nor was there a destitute or needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses proceeded to sell them, and one by one they brought (gave back) the amount received from the sales

35 And laid it at the feet of the apostles (special messengers). Then distribution was made according as anyone had need.

As long as there is need in your church, keep selling your assets and keep giving but check for fruit. If you are giving to a church and you still have people in church who are struggle? If there are widows and orphans who don’t have? If we find out these funds go to fuel exotic and luxurious lifestyle, then we should reconsider who we are giving to and change course and spread out to where you no these resources will be put to good use for Gods glory. More importantly, be led by His Spirit.

So what did the Holy Spirit told me? He said, “Look for the fruit.” Look for the fruit around your sacrificial giving. Don’t just give blindly! When you go into a church where needs are met, unity is strong. After any revival, people give extravagantly! What we are and what we own does not belong to us. We are stewards and when our love for God returns, the first place we display is in the act of giving!

Tithe, first fruit, sacrificial seed are just acronyms and are legalistic like the law that the religious leaders of Jesus day pride themselves keeping. God is about willingness. We should never be forced into giving. Abraham did not and Jacob did not and so we must not.
