GOOD NEWS FROM JAPAN & INDIA – Disciple Making Movements are Breaking Through!

Beloved Brethren,

Seven years ago, in Brother Ben Akpera’s home in Jos, we spent one full year together as a family drilling deep into the DNA of the Disciple Making Movement (DMM). That year was not just a course – it was a season of divine transformation, a time when God reshaped our hearts and minds on how to make disciples effectively.

We coupled this with profound Inner Healing lessons and insights God gave us in that period. Out of that season came a tested and proven selection of disciple-making tools – some of the very tools we are now deploying to the mission field through Otakada.org.

Today, Otakada.org hosts over 2 million pieces of rich content from across the Body of Christ worldwide – different disciple-making methods, evangelism strategies, prayer resources, and movement tools. We have continued to update this library – making them available for anyone who desires to multiply obedient disciples in their own sphere and kingdom focused equipping for the end times.

And now, by God’s grace, these resources are sparking movements in some of the most spiritually difficult and resistant nations on earth – India and Japan.

*A Quiet Fire Ignites in India*

A dear brother, Surendra Mohan Lazarus Jonathan, a pastor in India hungry for something deeper, found us via Google. He was unsatisfied with the current church models and wanted a more effective way of making disciples – one that produces obedience and multiplication, not just attendance.

We shared with him five DMM training videos, each containing practical steps such as Finding a Person of Peace and using Discovery Bible Study (DBS).

After going through them, Jonathan sent this testimony:

 “Praise the Lord, brother. I have gone through all the videos. It’s interesting – the way and skills taught there show how to share the gospel with others. All five tools which you shared are very effective. Finding a Person of Peace and DBS will be helpful for Christians also to understand Scripture very clearly.”

But the story didn’t end there. Within days, 14 other pastors from different churches – most of whom do not speak English – wanted to learn the process. Jonathan, who speaks English, got an interpreter, and over a simple lunch, they went through the training together.

We will be having follow-up meetings to track how they are implementing this in their churches and evangelism efforts.

Please pray that this movement will not only take root but grow into a sustained wave of obedient disciples making disciples – even under persecution. Many pastors in India have already lost their lives for the gospel. Let’s cover Jonathan, his interpreter, and these 14 pastors with fervent intercession.

*A Divine Appointment in Japan*

In Japan, an American-Japanese believer named Wayne was planning a holiday. But God stirred his heart to use the trip to make disciples. He went online and asked ChatGPT for the best Disciple Making Movement training in Japan – and God led him straight to us!

We went through the same five DMM training sessions with him. He was so stirred and inspired that he decided to use his time in Japan for outreach.

Today, Wayne and his wife are actively making disciples there – in a land known for being spiritually resistant and where the percentage of Bible-believing Christians is very small.

Pray that their efforts will break spiritual barriers, that hearts will open, and that a lasting movement of obedience-based disciples will take root in Japan.

Brethren, these are not just their testimonies – they are ours too.

Every prayer you pray is a weapon of breakthrough. Every moment you stand in agreement, you are helping to dismantle spiritual strongholds in places where the gospel faces the fiercest resistance.

Coupled with those prayers are fasting, as we do in GEMS 7 times every month for each part of the world, our prayers becomes time bombs waiting to bed ignited by a spark of hunger in any region of the world whilst calling forth harvest of disciples, asking the *North, the South, the East and the West* to GIVE THEM UP for God’s glory and our blessings!

These are selfless prayers that resonate with heaven because they are kingdom focused, and Matthew 6:33 apply *end-to-end.*

*Pray specifically for:*

Jonathan, Wayne, and their families – for protection, boldness, and wisdom.

The 14 pastors in India – for courage to apply what they’ve learned and to multiply it in their networks.

Sustained movements in both Japan and India – rooted in righteousness and free from compromise.

Let us be relentless in prayer and unwavering in obedience until the earth is filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
