A Personal Ministry Update – 12 Months Sabbatical

Dearly Beloved,

I want to personally share an important update regarding this season of our lives and ministry.

Following the completion of our 40-day fast on April 25—a spiritual exercise we have faithfully observed for the past 20 years—my wife and I will be stepping into a 12-month sabbatical rest from active ministry duties.

Over the past 12 years, beginning with a nationwide season of travel and prayer in 2010, and more intensively since 2017, we have been deeply committed to the work God has entrusted to us through preaching, teaching, discipleship, and prayer, mainly through online platforms. It has been a season of consistent outpouring and grace.

We are especially grateful to you—our community—for being part of this journey and for all that God has been doing in and through this ministry. Your prayers, support, and participation have meant so much to us, and we deeply appreciate you.

In addition, I recently underwent two eye surgeries, and my wife also went through a similar procedure in 2023. These experiences have further confirmed the need for intentional rest, healing, and renewal.

This sabbatical is not a withdrawal from purpose, but a divine pause for:

• Spiritual renewal
• Emotional and physical recovery
• Reorientation for the next phase of our calling

During this period, my wife and I will not be available for ministry-related engagements, including preaching, teaching invitations, and official responsibilities.

However, some of the activities we have carried along will continue under other capable hands, though not with the same intensity and regularity as before.

We believe this season is both necessary and ordained—a time to be restored, to listen more deeply to God, and to return strengthened for what lies ahead.

We ask for your understanding, your prayers, and your continued support.

Prayer Continuity and Community Update

Dearly Beloved,

My wife and I would like to sincerely thank you for your prayers, phone calls, messages, and words of encouragement since sharing about our sabbatical. We deeply appreciate your love and support.

We want to humbly say that we truly need your prayers in this season.

The Scriptures remind us clearly that even Apostle Paul repeatedly asked believers to pray for him, and our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, at a critical moment, asked His disciples to watch and pray with Him.

This is to say: we are not stepping away from the assignment, and we are not giving up on you. Rather, this is a season that requires even deeper partnership in prayer.

Scriptural Charge

• “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” (Mark 11:17)
• “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” (Luke 18:1)
• “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.” (Matthew 26:41)

Beloved, understand this clearly:

The nations, families, businesses, schools, government, media and entertainment, arts and culture, and religion and spirituality rise or fall with or without prayer.

Therefore, prayer continues. The altar must not go cold.

What Will Continue During This Period

1) Weekly Virtual Bible Study

• Once a week
• Duration: 40 minutes
• Using the Discovery Bible Study (DBS) model
• With a strong emphasis on pair learning and participation
• Hosted via Zoom/StreamYard for broader participation

2) Prayer for the Nations

Each month, one continent will be taken as the prayer focus.

• On the 1st day of the month, there will be Prayer and Fasting for that day.
• That day will end with a Zoom/StreamYard session for wider participation.
• The continent under focus will remain in focus for the entire month, with continued intercession around the 7 mountains.

Current Schedule:

• May – Africa
  Led by Bro Andrew in Nigeria.
  Begins on May 1 with Prayer and Fasting, ending with a Zoom/StreamYard session.
  The whole month of May will remain focused on Africa and the 7 mountains.
• June – Europe
  Led by Sister Patricia from the United Kingdom.
  Begins on June 1 with Prayer and Fasting, ending with a Zoom/StreamYard session.
  The whole month of June will remain focused on Europe and the 7 mountains.
• July – Oceania
  Led by Prophetess Alicia.
  Begins on July 1 with Prayer and Fasting, ending with a Zoom/StreamYard session.
  The whole month of July will remain focused on Oceania and the 7 mountains.

Further schedules will be provided afterwards.

UPDATE on Prayer for the Nations and other activities.

First Day Prayer & Fasting led by assigned anchor, ending with Zoom / Streamyard meeting session.

Rest of month: Individual responsibility across the community

• Focus remains on the continent all month
• For bible study DBS sesssions, everyone makes a contribution on their understanding of the text and the anchor sends the summaries to the community for pair learningn and applications..

This is the kind of community we are trusting God to build: resilient, not dependent—disciples DNA who can reproduce without constant supervision, like the early disciples.

3) Weekly 360° Prayer and Fasting

This will hold every Thursday privately, covering every area possible including:

• Self
• Family
• Nations
• The 7 mountains

We also have a prayer booklet attached with this post and already available in 51 languages worldwide via various platforms.

Please note: in some of these events, we may be available, but we will not be leading.

We hope this gives a grand picture of what to expect. The fire on the altar will continue to burn, with or without us in the driver’s seat.
