Scripture (NLT):

“Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.” – Psalm 27:10

Michael’s Story:

Michael stood alone at his father’s funeral, eyes dry but heart bleeding. Rejected as a child for being “too sensitive,” he was never good enough. Now, it was too late to hear the words he’d longed for: “I’m proud of you.” That silence haunted him.

Grace’s Story:

Grace had always been the invisible one. Overlooked by her parents, used by lovers, dismissed at work. Rejection wasn’t a moment—it was a pattern. It shaped her voice, her walk, her worth. Her smile was her shield, but inside she questioned if she mattered at all.

Devotional Insight:

Rejection is not always loud. Often, it creeps in quietly—through silence, neglect, criticism, abandonment. But no matter the source, God’s arms are open. He doesn’t just tolerate you—He chooses you. He doesn’t compare you—He cherishes you.

David, who wrote Psalm 27, knew rejection. Ignored by his family, hunted by his enemies, betrayed by his own son—yet he declares with confidence: “The Lord will hold me close.”

Today, let that be your reality. God doesn’t define you by who rejected you—but by the One who redeemed you.

What lie have you believed about yourself because of that rejection?

Prayer Declaration:

Father, even when people reject me, You accept me. When others abandon, You hold me close. I surrender the pain of past rejection and receive Your healing embrace. Make me whole again, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Journal Prompt:

Write a letter to the person (or people) who rejected you—not to send, but to release. Pour out your hurt, then ask God to fill that space with His truth.
