Matthew 16:17-19

17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Friends, I want you to review this 1 minute, 57 seconds video and objectively answer these questions relative to the command to Occupy till He comes:
1) Is this presenter Right or wrong? Is he partially right or wrong?
2) Let’s objectively explore the fruits Christianity have left behind over the past 2000 years objectively- What happened in Turkey that Christianity was run over and why? I want you to Read Revelation 2 to 3 for further insights
3) What is happening to Christianity in Europe and especially in the United Kingdom that is in serious decline and why?relate that with Acts 2-28
4) What is happening to Christianity in America, a nation that was founded on godly principle now a promoter abomination around the world and why? relate that with Acts 2-28
5) What is happening to Christianity and the various dimensions in Africa, Asia and elsewhere and why ?relate that with Acts 2-28
6) How come 120 people in the upper room in Jerusalem more than 2000 years ago turned the world upside down and our present day, more than 7 billion professing Christians age can’t and why?relate that with our modern day
7) As you read through the sermons of Jesus and Acts of the Apostle and justapose those events with what is happening in our gathering today, what stand out for you and I as the big shift that has taken place?
I don’t know what answers you can come up with but I can say for certain that:
1) We have drastically changed the Christianity handed down to us which should be a relationship with our Creator God TO a one way religion like many other religions of our time.
2) We have exulted activity like Martha rather than a relationship like Mary with JESUS so lost relevance because we don’t have the current command of the commander in Chief we are running around with have baked command God does not change but the ways of execution change constantly and we must be keyed in to Him to hear the NOW word.
3) We have made the bible the god rather than go to the God of the Bible. We are running around with logos rather the rhema word.
4) Jesus said in John 10:27, my sheep hear my voice. We don’t hear Jesus voice. We talk to Him, we don’t hear Him. 10 years, 20, 50, 80 years we don’t know or hear His voice. We know and memorize what He said to Peter, Paul, Ananias, Cornelius, John, Titus, Samuel, Moses, Abraham , David and host of others but we don’t hear Him, we don’t know His voice and those who can hear don’t equip others to hear. We don’t even know the specific plan of God for our lives, the mission fields that God is sending us to occupy, we don’t know.
For the single Ladies, wanting to get married, out of 12 eligible Christian bachelors, we don’t know which one the Lord is putting light on. Since the bible says we should not be unequivocally yoke, how do we tell from those who love God, who is it? That answer cannot come from the bible. It comes in the secret place of communion with the Father , the Lord Jesus Christ. Since our call is unique, so our partners for life have to be unique. We don’t know what business or career the Lord will have us pursue, we just go for guess work and move into action. We tell others about Jesus and Jesus is not confirming the words and they ask us, in what way are you different from us?
He said occupy till He comes. What strategy should we adopt when He puts His light on the specific mission field He Himself has highlighted to us?
5) Yes, Jesus said, the way that leads to life is narrow very few find it but if they are few, are we making disciples of the few or are we making converts, are we replicating ourselves like clones or are we sending them to their creator so that He can make original out of them and not copycats? Disciples who will chase after God than chase after men and women. Men and women who will stand before Lions and kings and not deny the faith.
6) We are Seeking after comfort and not after Christ. As we seek Christ in a relationship, we will get the NOW strategy downloaded straight to our spirit and not from third parties, then we can run with conviction.
In concluding, let us know what your insights are about this video as it has tendency to drive us into the secret place before we lose the last ground we are standing on. For sure the church is marching on and the gates of hell shall not prevail against us but we must of necessity occupy using the strategy downloaded to us in the secret place, tailormade for our assignment because God in every generation raises a remnant. Are you and i part of the remnant or part of the converted crowds?
Occupy today and always till He comes, don’t give in and don’t give out your SPACE as the Lord grants grace to stand in your tailormade SPACE
